Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What are ScrapBowl’s event hours?
ScrapBowl 2008 will take place over a 3 day weekend.

2. Crop Hours are:
Friday: 6pm to Midnight
Saturday: 8am to Midnight
Sunday: 8am to 4pm

3. Class Times:
Classes will run on Saturday from 9am - 10pm and Sunday from 9am - 5pm

4. I’m coming with friends, can we sit together?
Absolutely, just be sure to let Get Croppin’ know your request during your registration process and we will make sure you sit with your friends. Seating requests will be accepted till January 25th. After Jan. 25th we will do our best however, due to the size of this crop we can not guarantee the seating.
As for classes, once paid in full you are guaranteed a spot in that class, be sure to get there in time so you can sit next to your friends. Specific class seats are not assigned.

5. Can I register a friend?
Yes, you are able to register someone else; however, you must only register one person at a time. Due to the volume of registrations and to avoid mistakes the system will not allow you to choose more than one in quantity total. For example you can’t purchase 2 or 3 crop spots at the same time. You will have to do each transaction separately.

6. Do I have to arrive at the start of the crop?
No, once your spot is paid for in full you may arrive at any time during the crop hours; your spot is guaranteed for the entire crop time you purchased.

7. I’m attending the crop for more than one day can I leave my things at my table?
Yes, Get Croppin’ will provide you with a plastic cover to place over you personal scrapbook area when you are ready to leave for the day. We will have security on hand during all event open hours; however, Get Croppin’ is not responsible for items left at your table. Be certain to take all valuables with you.

8. How much stuff can I bring to work on?
Feel free to bring as much as you see necessary and can keep to your 4 foot croppin' area.

9. I want to take a Donna Downey class but I’m confused on the pricing?
With Donna’s classes we have some flexibility in providing you additional choices. We all have our own stash of items at home. With Donna’s classes you have the option of receiving a class supply list and bringing your own choice of papers etc and paying less for your class fee or you can pay the full amount and receive the papers and supplies Donna has suggested. If you are bringing your own stash you will still be provided with the ‘base’ of your class for example, if you are making a book, you will be given the book itself, you bring your own papers.

10. Can my family come visit me during the event?
We don't have a problem with family coming to say hello for a few minutes, we do ask for you to consider those around you. We do ask that they do not stay an extended amount of time as it may bother other scrappers. If you have small children they must be with an adult at all times and should not be allowed to run or roam around the rooms unsupervised, this is for their own safety. Get Croppin' is not responsible for an injuries sustained during the event.

11. I'm breastfeeding and need to have my newborn baby attend?
Please contact Get Croppin' directly at info@getcroppin.com should this be a situation. Get Croppin' will do their best to accommodate your wishes while maintaining everyone else's scrappin' time unaffected.

12. Can I leave the event once I'm there? Yes, feel free to come and go as you want, just be sure to have your name tag to re-enter the event.

13. What about food? There are a wide variety of food locations within walking distance of the event. We will also have the expo center concession stand open during peak hours where you can purchase food. Outside food is not allowed in the event.

14. Why don’t you provide meals?
We are about flexibility, our events are about you. We want to be sure that everyone has the choice to eat what they like or want, when they want it and how they want it. We prefer to keep our crop costs lower and allow you to eat on your own than to obligate you to eat the food we choose for you on our schedule and charge you more for it.

15. I am arriving late, do you provide a discount?
Crop spots are available on a daily basis, regardless of what time you arrive, your spot will be waiting for the full time you purchased. We do not re-sell spots for the same day.

16. I need to cancel my reservation ...
Refer to the cancellation policies for rules/refunds/ or transfers. There are no refunds for cancellations on classes.

16. What if I don’t show up…what happens?
Due to the planning and cost of this event, there are no refunds for no show’s or missed classes.

17. I signed up for a class and now I don’t want or can’t attend it?
Once your register for a class we pay for your spot to that instructor. There are no refunds for classes. You are welcome to ‘sell’ your spot to someone else as long as it is being sold for the same amount you paid. If you do sell your spot you must let Get Croppin’ know the person that will be attending. If they are not on the class list they will not be allowed to take the class.

18. Something came up and I can’t go but want my class kit…
Get Croppin’ will gladly mail you your class kit after the event. There will be a $5 shipping charge per class kit.

19. I don't know anyone, will I feel uncomfortable?
Don't worry about attending our crops alone, everyone is friendly and happy to make new friends. Let us know you'll be there on your own and we will be sure to sit you with some scrappers that you will have a great time with!

20. What vendors do you have at your crops?
Get Croppin' offers a variety of vendors at our crops please see each individual crop for vendors scheduled to that event. The vendor shopping will be open Friday (6pm to 10pm, for crop only attendees), Saturday (8:30am to 10pm, for class and crop attendees) and Sunday (8:30am to 3pm, for class and crop attendees)

21. I am a vendor, interesting in having space at an event...

22. I am only taking classes will I be able to shop the vendors?
Yes, the vendor area will be open to those taking just classes, there is no additional fee to shop the vendors. You may only shop the vendors on the day that your taking classes. For example, your signed up for a class on Sat. from 10am to 12pm, you'll be able to shop the vendor area on Sat., during the vendor open times which will be (Sat. 8:30am to 10pm).

23. I am not attending the crop or classes, can I still shop the vendors?
No, this event is a pre-registered event, there will be no on-site tickets sold.
