Get Croppin’ is proud to announce our most economical-no-thrills-no-outrageous-fees three day crop. Join us on Fri, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 to “Seriously get some Scrapbooking DONE”! This bare bones crop will be held at the Dulles Expo and Conference Center in Chantilly, VA. So pack your scrapbooking supplies, friends, or group and join us!
We're bringing back the successful "sell boards" and "free table". So, if you've purged your supplies and want to pass them onto a fellow scrapbooker, we will have tables to trade supplies, sell extra supplies (using the photo/index cards), and tables to give away the supplies you no longer want or need!
We are anticipating on a large crop in order to offer such a bargain price. In order to keep costs down, we won't be doing prizes or welcome gifts, but what we'll still have fabulous vendors with make and takes!
We all have WAY to much stuff...no matter what we do, we buy and buy and buy.... someone's trash is someone else’s' treasure. During this crop we will have (unmanned) tables set up where you can bring your stash of items you'd like to sell to others. There is no additional fee for you to participate in this. All you have to do is let us know you are interested and we will send you all the details. Those attending the event will have the opportunity to participate in this those attending full weekend will be able to 'sell' items. Sorry, if your not registered for the crop, you can't come in and shop or particiapate in the sell tables.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Select (across the parking lot) at the rate of $xx. a night (regardless whether you have one person or four people in a room). If you wish to reserve a room use the booking Code: "xxx" on the Holiday Inn Select - Chantilly website. Or by calling Guests can also call 703-815-6060 or 1-800-HOLIDAY, ask for "Get Croppin" rate. Last day to reserve a room at the special rate is x/xx.
This crop will be held in the Conference Center at the Dulles Expo Center, North Hall, Entrance B.
PRICE: This event will be sold as a full weekend spot only. ($75/full weekend) Your reserving this spot for the entire weekend and its yours to do what you fits your schedule. For example, maybe your parkin it all weekend and croppin it up. Maybe you can only come of Friday and Sunday, well its your spot so leave your stuff all weekend. Maybe you've got a friend who wants to take up your space while your gone. If that be the case, make sure that we are well aware that your splitting your spot between a friend (all money exchanging is done by you, but we must be notified before 3/5 or they will not be allowed in.) Spots will sell out fast, so don't to hesitate to register! This is will be an AWESOME event! Here are the details:
Reserved Seating: If you're coming with a group ... just let us know at the time of registration and we'll reserve a cluster of spots together. Seating in our cropping room which will be more than 4,000 square feet. Table grouping can accommodate up to 16. If you need special assistance, or require being close to a door, please note that in the comments area of the registration form.
SPACE: Everyone will get 4x4 feet of table space plus trash cans. If your interested in more space, we do allow attendees to purchase 2 spots and have some serious room. Let us know if thats your intentions. Outlets are around the room, we can not accomidate everyone near an outlet. We usually don't have a probably with electricity. Please note: If you do need electricity, please bring an extension cord and electric tape to secure to the carpet. Also, we have multiple Cricut machines available to use, so just bring your own cartridges for your own use.
HOURS: The crop will begin on Friday at 6pm - Midnight; Saturday 8am - Midnight, and Sunday at 8am - 4pm. Think how many pages or projects you'll complete UNINTERUPTED by screaming kids, housekeeping, starring at unfinished household projects, laundry, and worse of all croppers block!
SECURITY: We employ a night security officer who patrols the doors during the evening, and will patrol the parking area as croppers are leaving in the late evenings. You can leave your supplies at your spot overnight, we do recommend that you tighty up and hid valuables. In the past attendees have felt safer by bringing a sheet and covering their spots and supplies. Its up to you. *We aren't responsible for missing items
CHAIRS: Regular padded banquet chairs, though we have seen many wheelin in their own comfy chairs, which we can understand (though generally attendees are pleased with the padded banquet chairs =)
TABLES: Exclusive "I" set up for tables where everyone at your "I" table of up to 12 or 16 - see and talk to each other freely.
LIGHTING: The room has flourencent and halogen canister lighting and is brightly lit.
ELECTRIC: We can't promise that you'll be seated next to an outlet. We recommend that you bring your own extension cord and power strip, and we'll be happy to help 'tape down' the cord to the carpet.
SHOPPING: Shop at your leisure at our Get Croppin' shopping center where we will have selected independent consultants to not only sell their products but also demonstrate their product lines. You can also visit our on-site scrapbooking store for all your essential supplies throughout the day.

Food at this event: Are events are all about flexibility. Eat when you want, where you want. That’s why our prices are low. There are multiple food locations within walking distance to the expo and in every price range, meeting every dietary need.
Seating: When registering, you'll have the opportunity to list the friends or group you'd like to sit with. Should additional friends register after you, not to worry we'll send out many opportunities before the crop to include them at your table. We do not reserve an acutal seat, just a spot at the table. Its on a first come, first serve bases for placement at a table grouping. * Groups larger than 16 will be split into two tables next to each other.
