03/30/05 - Viriginia Scrapbooking & Craft Yard Sale - Huge Success Viriginia Scrapbooking & Craft Yard Sale - Huge SuccessSterling, VA 03/30/05 - The first Virginia Scrapbooking & Craft was held at the Prince William County Fairgrounds in Manassas, Virginia. Sponsored and organized by Get Croppin', Northern Virginia's Scrapbooking Events Company, the event contained over 50+ vendors including 7 local area scrapbooking stores. The stores included Just Crop It! (Rockville, MD), My Scrapbook Store (Fairfax, Va), Scrapbooks Plus! (Chantilly, VA), Ashburn Family Scrapbooking Center (Ashburn, VA), Virginia Scrapbooking & Stamp (Woodbridge, VA), Scrap It! (Stafford, VA), Memories Galore (Richmond, VA). Other vendors included Creative Memories, Croppers Alley, Croppin Oasis, Sassy Papers, Stampin Up, Top Line Creations, Close to My Heart, Bead Retreat and many more. The yard sale also provided an outlet for general scrapbookers to sell excess materials to a direct market. The event started at 9:30am, and saw a steady stream of attendence throughout the day. Actual attendence was 1,700. The event concluded at 4:30pm. "The event was a huge sucess," said Ashlie Ellison, co-event planner. "We paid extreme attention to organization, spacing, and flow of people throughout the day. We expect next years event to be double in size." Get Croppin' is in planning mode for next years event, which will also happen in the month of April 2006. Exact date has not been finalized. This annual event will feature many local Scrapbooking & Stamping stores, Online Scrapbook Stores, Independent Scrapbook Businesses, Scrapbooking/Stamp Consultants/Demonstrators, Crafters, and Individuals scrappers selling products at discounted prices and show specials! This event will feature six area scrapbooking stores as well as many other vendors.
